From Dave.Thewlis at calconnect.org Sun Dec 14 11:23:17 2008 From: Dave.Thewlis at calconnect.org (Dave Thewlis) Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2008 08:23:17 -0800 Subject: [calmobileiop-l] Registration is Now Open for CalConnect XIV: Roundtable XIV and CalConnect Interoperability Test Event, February 2-6, 2009, Redmond, Washington Message-ID: <494532F5.5050201@calconnect.org> Registration is now open for CalConnect XIV comprised of Roundtable XIV and a CalConnect Interoperability Test Event*, hosted by Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, on February 2-6, 2009. Please see http://www.calconnect.org/calconnect14.shtml for logistics information and links to registration for the Roundtable and for the CalConnect Interoperability Test Event*. The exact meeting venues have not been identified yet (they will be shortly) but they will either be on the Microsoft main campus in Redmond, or in a hotel near to the Redmond campus. If you are planning on participating in the CalConnect Interoperability Test Event*, it begins with breakfast on Monday morning the 2nd at 08:00 and runs to noon on Wednesday the 4th. As usual the Roundtable will begin with lunch at 12:30 on Wednesday the 4th and run until early Friday afternoon the 6th. A general schedule of events is provided on the logistics page; the final schedule of TC sessions, together with topical agendas, will be available by mid-September. Please note that we have a couple of special events on Wednesday. Our first Guest Speaker, Ben Fortuna, will present ical4j (http://ical4j.sourceforge.net/). And if we have time, we will have a "Dogfood" session where participants can try Calendar connectivity between different servers and clients (sort of a "do it yourself" Tech Preview). See you in Redmond in February! Cheers, Dave Thewlis *This CalConnect Interoperability Test Event will be a "regular" IOP test event. The next MOBILE Calendaring Interoperability Test Event has not yet been scheduled but we expect it to occur by mid-2009. -- *Dave Thewlis, Executive Director Calconnect - The Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium* +1 707 840 9391 (voice) ? +1 707 498 2238 (mobile) http://www.calconnect.org ? This workshop is intended for and open by invitation to parties with an interest in Timezones, how they are currently implemented and managed, and what to do about them in the future. We particularly want to attract representatives of other industry and technology areas to gain a broad perspective on the problems with Timezones as implemented today, and the relevance of our proposed direction. You do not need to be a CalConnect member to attend the workshop. Please see Timezone Workshop for more information, and to request an invitation to the event.
